VOLVO D7C BUS SPECIFICATION ENGINES

Volvo D7C Engines have been in operation since early 2000s and were a very popular engine throughout europe, with use in Volvo B7L buses. These engines can be converted to truck specification, the long motors are the same however, you’ll need a donor engine to complete the conversion. The turbo assy, cooling assy, sump and flywheel housing are the key differences. Many customers have purchased these engines for us in the FL7 trucks ranging between 2001-2004.

This engine’s predecessor was the Volvo D7A and D7B which used the mechanical and semi electronic fuel pumps. The Volvo D7C has a different fuel pump and assy to the D7B and can be easily confused. The Fuel pump drive on the D7B was problematic and therefore, the design change prompted the D7C’s introduction. This was superseded by the fully electronic common rail D7E engines which are still in service today in the B7R buses and FM Series trucks and municipal vehicles.
