This is the D0836 LF Non Common Rail Version engine, which uses the semi electronic VP Bosch Pump, unlike its predecessor, the D0826 which uses the fully mechanical fuel pump. This engine was subsequently replaced by the D0836 Common Rail Engine which was post 2005> which is still used today.
Engines are often confused in the 2004-2005 year as they do cross over in some truck models. However, you’ll also find the D0836 non common rail version was used in a lot of tipper and concrete truck applications with PTO.
